Testosterone Therapy For Men & Women

Aging comes with a lot of not-so-pleasant side effects, including the decrease in hormone production by the body. A decrease in testosterone has a multitude of negative effects on men & women, including a decrease in libido and energy levels. Hormone Replacement Therapy of Testosterone can treat these symptoms and more to improve quality of life!

Testosterone plays a vital role in a man’s libido and sexual function, the production of healthy sperm, and the expression of male characteristics, but those are not the only purposes of testosterone in a man’s body. It plays a crucial role in bone density and health, muscle mass, the production of red blood cells, energy levels and endurance, positive mood, and is involved in many body system functions, either directly or indirectly.

As men age, the body’s natural production of testosterone begins to decrease, usually starting around the age of 30. The production rate continues to decrease by an average of 1% every year for the rest of a man’s life. This natural aging process, as well as problems affecting the health of the Testes, can lead to a condition known as Hypogonadism, or Secondary Hypogonadism, when caused by a problem in the Hypothalamus or Pituitary gland. These conditions are commonly referred to as low testosterone or low T, and are diagnosed when a man’s testosterone levels fall below the normal range of 300ng/dL to 1,000ng/dL.

Common symptoms of low T include: decreased libido or Erectile Dysfunction (ED), fatigue and low energy levels, unexplained weight gain or the inability to lose weight, brain fog and decreased cognitive function, depression, moodiness/irritability, low semen volume or infertility relating to sperm health, and joint pain or osteoporosis. These symptoms can be present even if a man’s testosterone levels are within the normal range, due to the fact that all bodies are different and can require higher levels of testosterone to function optimally.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is a form of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) used to increase a man’s or womans testosterone levels to reduce the symptoms caused by the lack of testosterone in the body and can improve overall quality of life. This form of HRT is safe and effective under medical supervision and can help a man reach the goalsfor health and well-being as well as treat disorders that can be caused by low Testosterone.
